Why communication is important to Engineers

I made a PowerPoint presentation. I was unable to figure out how to upload the presentation so here are the individual slides:

  1. We need to clearly communicate in our future, and one way engineers do that is through power point presentations. Power point helps use summarize the information we need to present, so the people we are trying to communicate to will better understand us. With clear communication, engineers can better succeed in their jobs.

  2. I greatly enjoyed and agreed with your PowerPoint. It is true that without communication, engineers may in fact be wasting their time and "rediscovering" things that have already been discovered. Communication is also important to build networks and relationships. Whether it be between coworkers, peers, or friends, communication is very important for a person to succeed at their job, as well as in life.

  3. You will get more done in life if you work off of what others have already done so that multiple engineers can work on new things together without having to play catchup after every new discovery. Communication is, just like you said in your powerpoint, important for new ideas and group projects.

  4. I agree completely with what everyone else has been saying; communication makes a problem much easier to solve. I like especially what you said about the spread of ideas as it can be seen today but also throughout history. To expand off of what Kevin said, communication in a group allows each group member to achieve greater accomplishments than they would have by themselves.
